Half a century later, on the eve of the anniversary of the Baikal-Amur Mainline (1974–2024 ), it's time to reconsider and rethink the history and significance of its capital, Tynda, to switch attention from industrial exploits to the development of tourism. The BAM brand is a world heritage that needs to be preserved and developed.
These days the city takes part in the All-Russian competition of the best projects of the tourist code of the city center from Rostourism within the framework of the National project “Tourism and hospitality industry”. The Consortium of Travel Business School and the Center for Territorial and Spatial Development “YARUS” is working on the application for the tourist code of the city. Today we will look inside the proposed development concept and present a checklist for a tourist: 5 things that you must do when you are in Tynda.

#3. Take a walk along the “extreme point of Moscow”
In the heyday of the construction of the BAM, Tynda was inhabited mainly by young people from all over the USSR. The city was built mainly by Moscow workers, and the main idea was to repeat the capital in miniature. That is why in Tynda even the names of the streets are metropolitan.
#four. See the “green sea of the taiga”
Enjoy the amazing pristine nature, take a walk to the stone “mushrooms”-kurums, ride horses in the taiga.
#5. Feel like a gold digger
Try on the role of a gold digger, feel the real spirit of the “gold rush”, try your hand and try to pan for gold, because these places are rich in this precious metal. If gold cannot be found, a mug of excellent local beer will help brighten up the time, which is brewed in the best beer traditions and will definitely appeal to everyone. From 2023, a beer festival is planned to be held in the art space near the suspension bridge in Tynda.
