An additional 4,500 free tickets are available for Ukrainian refugees heading to the UK under the UK government's Housing for Ukraine visa scheme.

Ukrainians who fly to the UK from the airports of Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia will be able to take advantage of this opportunity.

In total, Wizz Air offered 10,000 free tickets as part of this initiative. Since May, more than 5,000 Ukrainians who are seeking asylum because of the war in Ukraine have taken advantage of this opportunity.

The UK government has already issued more than 88,00 visas to Ukrainians under the Housing for Ukraine scheme. More than 51,800 Ukrainian refugees have already arrived in the country.
