The Maldives is a real paradise on earth, a country of eternal summer, white sand, azure sea and tropical greenery. The Maldives is synonymous with a serene holiday, unhurried, full of bliss. They return here again and again – to a luxurious villa with a transparent floor, through which it is so interesting to watch the fish, or with a water slide leading directly from the room to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, to a bungalow in the shade of tropical gardens, in whose hammock it is so comfortable to read, return as a family with children, or in search of a romantic escape.
You can relax in the Maldives almost all year round, the air temperature here is almost always +28C, water +25C. From March to October, strong monsoons blow from the southwest, bringing with them tropical showers, but here they are always short-lived.
The Maldives is ideal for couples – where else you can be alone with each other, surrounded by magnificent scenery, on the border between incredibly clear water and palm greenery. People come here for honeymoon trips and golden wedding trips, and no one has yet returned from this fabulous land disappointed.
The Maldives is also a paradise for lovers of fishing and diving, horseback riding and cycling, fans of yoga and spa treatments, exciting animation and activities that never leave you bored. It all depends on which island will become your haven. If you want to lie carefree on a secluded beach, choose a small island with a wide beach line, if you are looking for entertainment and public events – you need a large island with entertainment centers, divers should look at the islands located along the coral reefs, families with children – hotels , in which the infrastructure is “sharpened” for children — there are kids clubs, water slides and all kinds of entertainment.
Going to the Maldives, you need to learn to think globally – not with hotels, but with islands. Most often, the hotel occupies an entire island, which has everything your heart desires, from souvenir shops to a cinema. In the Maldives, there is no such thing as a “second line from the sea”. As a rule, the islands are small – an average of 300 by 600 meters. There are no picturesque streets or sights listed by UNESCO, but here you will not meet annoying locals either.
North Male.
Hotels in Male and North Male are closest to the airport, there are many cafes, shops, restaurants. If you do not plan to stay on the same island all the time, you should choose a hotel on these two atolls. In Male itself, rest is not so secluded, but the infrastructure of the busiest city in the archipelago is at your service.
Baa Atoll is one of the least populated by tourists, only 10 of more than 40 islands are used here, it is ideal if you looking for solitude and silence. The atoll is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Laviani – due to its location around the barrier reef – a real paradise for divers and those who want to get acquainted with the colorful extravaganza of the underwater world of the Maldives.
Addu is the southernmost atoll and consists of 7 islands. Famous among divers.
Ari is ideal for divers, as the nearby marine reserves Maya Tila, Orimas Tila, Fish Head, Kudara Tila, in the southern part of the atoll is the coral reef Broken Rock.
South Male is located close to the capital of the Maldives and to a variety of entertainment. Diving enthusiasts will be very interested in the marine reserves of Embudu-Kandu, Guraidu-Kandu, Embudu-Canyon, Kanduma-Thila and Guraidu-Korner.
Laamu Atoll — a unique place for surfing and water activities, snorkeling and diving.
