Conditions of entry
Entry is allowed according to the available documents: Ukrainian biometric/non-biometric passport, internal Ukrainian passport (old-style in the form of a book or ID-card), birth certificate of a child. Coronavirus entry restrictions lifted.
Citizens of Ukraine who do not have a biometric passport will be issued a free long-term visa. Long-term visas are also issued to ensure the right to work in Latvia. Holders of a passport of a citizen of Ukraine (internal Ukrainian passport) will be granted a residence permit in Latvia (in the form of an ID card).
To learn more about the procedure for obtaining a long-term visa for citizens of Ukraine, please contact the Department of Citizenship and Migration Affairs: +371 67209400 (Monday-Thursday 8:30-16:00; Friday 9:00-15:00 ).
- Center for support of citizens forced to leave the territory of Ukraine at the address: Riga, st. Kalku iela, 1, from 09:00-18:00.
- The information point for citizens of Ukraine is located in the Riga Congress House at the address: Krišjāņa Valdemāra iela 5, Centra rajons, Rīga, LV- 1010. Opening hours: 09:00 – 18:00 (Mon-Fri) and from 10:00-16: on weekends.

Entering with animals
If you arrive with a pet, when you settle in, contact your nearest veterinarian. The veterinarian will examine, register, microchip and vaccinate the animal free of charge. Information phone of the food and veterinary service +371 67095245.
