The National Banks of Ukraine and Italy agreed on the availability of such a service. Ukrainians who are now in Italy will now be able to exchange cash hryvnia into euros.

The process will be established by the end of June.

Ukrainians who have received permission for temporary asylum in Italy will be able to exchange up to 10,000 hryvnias into euros. Local branches of the Central Bank and a branch of commercial financial institutions will help with this.

According to Shevchenko, about 400 more branches should join the program. A list of branches and the current exchange rate will appear on the Bank of Italy website.

The exchange program also applies to children. Parents or legal guardians will be able to exchange cash on their behalf.
