Boulevard and the sea
In Batumi, there are no such concepts as the first or second line. Because the first line is the widest strip of beaches, which goes around the perimeter of the entire city – from the airport to the seaport. And in parallel stretches no less powerful green zone – Primorsky Boulevard. And it's insanely convenient. As soon as the sun begins to pester, you can instantly hide in the shade among the lush plantings. The boulevard impresses with its well-groomedness (not a single cigarette butt or piece of paper, everything is trimmed like a ruler) and an immeasurable number of original sculptures and buildings. Quite pulls on the Black Sea Dubai.
Here, by the way, is the Georgian replica of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, the glass-concrete tower of the Georgian alphabet, the Ministry of Justice in the form of an inverted bottle, the wedding palace in the shape of a dolphin's eye, a monument to the Internet and much more. Well, the central composition on this “field of miracles”, which has already become a symbol of Batumi, is the sculpture of Ali and Nino. The saddest love story of the entire Caucasus. About the happy but short love of an Azerbaijani poet and a Georgian princess. Two stylized figures, 8 meters high, slowly approach, and then move away from each other again. They are especially spectacular in the evening when the lights turn on around.
The beaches are no less clean. Now in Georgia this is strict. Throwing garbage in a public place – a fine. Smoked – a fine. And it works. All beaches in Batumi are municipal, that is, free. There are no closed, club or hotel sites – from the word “absolutely”. Swim wherever you like. You can rent a sunbed and an umbrella. The coastline cover is large or medium pebbles. But most of the public is not embarrassed, they come with their own towels.
Kovidnist season affects – vacationers are not crowded. After all, everything is just beginning. It is generally accepted that the beach season here opens from mid-June and lasts until mid-September. In order to optimally plan everything and be in time everywhere, be sure to visit the official tourist website of the city – Visitbatumi.com before your trip.
