To participate in it, Ukrainians need to find a so-called “sponsor” – an American who will provide housing, help with finding a job and integrating into society. To simplify this process for both parties, the Welcome Connect platform was created.

Welcome Connect can register both Ukrainians looking for a sponsor and Americans who want to become one.

Terms and Conditions

• U.S. citizens registered on the platform are required to complete training modules with information on what constitutes “guardianship” and also fill in your profile.
• Ukrainians only need to create and fill out a profile on the site.

An important nuance: Ukrainians can view the lists of sponsors and choose who they want to chat with. At the same time, the Americans cannot choose specific Ukrainians.

When, as a result of communication, both parties decide that they are suitable for each other, the site redirects them to the state website of the “Uniting for Ukraine” program and there they submit an official application.

After government verification of the sponsor and the Ukrainian applicant and approval of the application, Ukrainian citizens are entitled to come to the United States within 90 days and stay in the country for up to 2 years.
