TOP TOURIST HITS OF THE KRASNOYARSK REGION
Outside of Krasnoyarsk, lovers of adventure, Siberian nature and ethnography are waiting for interesting places. The TOP locations of the Krasnoyarsk Territory include the village of Shushenskoye, the natural park “Ergaki”, the Putorana Plateau.
VILLAGE SHUSHENSKOE
The village of Shushenskoye has long won the status of the most popular location on the map of Russia. If in Soviet times it attracted tourists with places associated with the name of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, now Shushenskoye is a real ethnocenter of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, with its own historical and ethnographic museum-reserve.

You can get from Krasnoyarsk to Shushenskoye by regular bus No. 589 or by car along the M-54 highway. By train – to Minusinsk or Abakan station, then by bus.
You can come to the museum-reserve any day from 10 am to 18 pm. The entrance ticket costs 300 rubles. (adult), pensioners – 150 rubles, students, children from 7 years old – 120 rubles. Sightseeing or thematic tour: from 200 rubles. per person.
The New Village complex operates on the territory of the museum-reserve, which offers tourists accommodation in the authentic atmosphere of 19th century houses in compliance with all the canons of peasant life of that time. Accommodation in a peasant house costs from 2 thousand rubles. per person.
Shushenskoye also hosts a landmark tourist event in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory – the international festival of ethnic music and crafts “The World of Siberia”. The holiday annually gathers more than 30,000 tourists from all over Russia and neighboring countries.
It runs through Shushenskoye and the Great Sayan Ring ethnographic route, which has been successfully implemented for 15 years. It connects three Siberian regions – Krasnoyarsk Territory, Khakassia and Tyva – and has a continuation – to Mongolia.
ERGAKI NATURE PARK
Nature Park “Ergaki” will delight tourists with the endless expanses of taiga, fantastic rocky peaks, ponds and rivers with crystal clear water. This pearl of the Sayans, as well as Shushenskoye, has long been on the list of favorite places for tourists coming to the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
You can get to the park by car or by bus from Krasnoyarsk to Kyzyl ( go to the stop “Visit Center Ergaki”). Travel time is about 12 hours. By car – about 8 hours depending on weather conditions and time of day.
In summer, there are hiking and horse riding tours for tourists. You can climb one of the peaks with climbing equipment, raft down mountain rivers, go fishing.

In winter, the snow-covered slopes of the natural park become a mecca for skiers and snowboarders, as well as snowmobile enthusiasts. The ski season here lasts from late October to mid-June.
Traveling through the park is very comfortable. Each tourist route is assigned one of three colors, indicating the level of difficulty. The length of the shortest route – to the hanging stone frozen over the cliff – is 15 km. Before entering the route, you must personally register at one of the points of the park administration.
As a rule, tourists come to the park for a few days. They are located at camp sites, or they put up a tent in a tent camp.
Prices for accommodation are reasonable. For example, at the camp site “Sleeping Sayan” you can stay for 1.6 thousand rubles. per day per person. In the park-hotel “Master of the Taiga” the price tag is about the same – 3 thousand rubles. per day for a double room.
PUTORANA PLATEAU
As for the Putorana Plateau, all lovers of adventure tourism dream of visiting this, one of the most ancient plateaus of volcanic origin in the world, which is under the protection of UNESCO.
And not by chance: flat mountain peaks, bottomless canyons, low clouds, fjord lakes and cascading waterfalls are the dream of any nature lover, photographer, blogger.

You can get to the Putorana Plateau from Norilsk by boat, by helicopter, and in winter by snowmobiles. There is no road to the reserve. There is such an option: by plane to Krasnoyarsk, from there a flight to Norilsk (Alykel airport). And already from Norilsk by boat (boat, hovercraft), or by helicopter. Or you can fly to Norilsk directly from Moscow.
The best time to visit the Putorana Plateau is summer, especially during the polar day (it lasts from May 19 to July 25, when the sun does not set beyond the horizon for more than 1 day) and white nights (from July 25 to August 15, when evening twilight turns into morning ).
You can explore the beautiful landscapes, the rich flora and fauna of the Putorana Plateau as part of hiking expeditions, hunting trips, and photo tours. Fishing is also on the list of interesting recreational options in this mysterious mountainous region.
You can stay at the recreation centers. The base “Bunisyak” is unique in that it is located at the most remote, eastern end of Lake Lama, in a dense larch forest, not far from the mouth of the Vekhikai River. By the way, the water in Lake Lama is cleaner than Baikal, and the area where the base is located is surrounded by hundreds of waterfalls from 10 to 60 meters high.

You can live in a glamping on Lake Sobachye. These are triple and double residential dome-type tents (with an area of 29 sq.m) with panoramic windows. On the territory of the glamping there is a dining room, showers (tents), a camping bath (with a heating temperature of 110 ° C) and a campfire.

PROJECT “ZATUNDRA” NEAR THE PUTORANA PLATEAU

The project involves the creation of a tourist village and glamping sites in the area of Lama and Melkoe lakes within five years. These objects will be connected by water transport, it is also planned to lay hiking routes for nature-cognitive and expeditionary tourism.
JOURNEY TO THE NORTH POLE
A hotel in the village of Khatanga, Krasnoyarsk Territory, will begin its work in an updated format. Last year, it became known that the Swedish scientist, philanthropist, traveler and member of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Geographical Society Frederik Paulsen invested in the Zapolyarye Hotel in Khatanga and has already begun the reconstruction of the building. The hotel will welcome its first guests at the end of this summer.

According to Frederik Paulsen, the geographical location of Khatanga allows it to become a gathering point for tourists who want to visit the North Pole.
