“The program for the accommodation of Ukrainian refugees in hotels will be extended until October 31 at the current cost, this will be the final of the program, so it will be possible to organize a new program”, – said the Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov .

He expressed hope that this would be the last extension of the program and that a new program would appear to integrate refugees into the social system.

Recall that in June a scandal erupted in Bulgaria due to the sudden decision of the Bulgarian government to cancel the program of accommodation of Ukrainian refugees in hotels on the Black Sea coast. After a wave of indignation, the government eventually abandoned the cancellation of the program.

More than 300,000 Ukrainians have arrived in Bulgaria since the beginning of the war. It is reported that 110,000 people have already received temporary protection and asylum. At the same time, it is reported that a significant part of Ukrainians in Bulgaria received support from citizens and public organizations, and not from the state.
