The tourism industry has summed up the summer season. The results are worthy, without undue modesty. The number of travelers in Russia has reached pre-pandemic levels. For the first time, more tours within the country have been sold than on the Turkish coast.

Now it's time for the high season at thermal resorts. It begins with a cold snap, in late September – early October. At the Kuban spa resort Termy, which was launched by businessman Alexander Udodov, they note that with a decrease in air temperature, there has been a noticeable increase in guests.

KUBAN HEALING

Domestic tourism is experiencing a real renaissance, from May to August, and this is only according to official data, 25 million Russians traveled around the country.

As in previous years, the Krasnodar Territory remains the most attractive region; since the beginning of the year, more than 11 million people have rested here. In summer, mainly Black Sea beaches come here. Now the water and air temperatures are dropping, the “velvet” season is coming to an end, there will be nothing to do on the beaches until next summer.

But you should not be sad. With the onset of cold autumn, thermal resorts will delight you, and in a couple of months the skiing season starts. Together with the autumn chill, the number of guests is growing in the Terma by Alexander Udodov.

On weekends, the health resort is fully loaded, there are very few free rooms left for October, and all the places have already been bought out for the New Year holidays. Andrey Astakhov, co-owner of Therm, said that a chalet complex is being prepared for launch, which will increase the possibilities for receiving guests.

Kuban nature has provided more than fifty natural hot springs at our service, each of which has a special and healing composition of water .

Matsesta, favored by Soviet leaders, is famous for its hydrogen sulfide springs. The resort specializes in skin diseases, osteochondrosis, arthrosis, arthritis, urinary and reproductive problems.

“Lab” uses sodium chloride and bicarbonate-sodium sources for procedures.

Mineral water in “Thermae” is recommended by doctors for the treatment of more than a hundred different diseases. This is due to its high mineralization (21-25 g/l) and unique composition. The water is saturated with compounds of iodine (10-20 mg/l), boron (300-410 mg/l), bromine (45-75 mg/l) and silicon (135-175 mg/l) that are beneficial for the body.

The content of silicon in the thermal spring at the resort of Alexandra Udodov is 10 times higher than in all sources of low and medium mineralization in the region.

Silicon in water is in the form of metasilicic acid, which is easily absorbed. This element is part of the connective tissue and is necessary for the normal functioning of all human organs.

The Termy spa resort was launched by businessman Alexander Udodov with partners in the fall of pre-pandemic 2019. The businessman became famous after the success of his mushroom project – the Kursk company “Mushroom Rainbow” – which in a year became the largest producer of champignons in the country.

NATURE AND SCIENCE IN ONE SWIMMING POOL

People used the healing power of mineral waters long before the advent of modern spa resorts like the same balneological “Therms” by Alexander Udodov.

Archaeologists have found the remains of baths in the Palace of Knossos in Crete. It was built, for a minute, almost four thousand years ago. The Greek physician Hippocrates wrote about the healing properties of water five centuries before our era. Because of the supernatural power attributed to hot springs and their vapors, such places were considered sacred, and temples were built nearby. Recently, a large-scale complex of ancient Roman baths and the Temple of Augustus were unearthed in Italy next to the thermal springs that people still use today.

A truly scientific study of the composition and properties of thermal waters began about three centuries ago. This is how balneology appeared. Doctors were convinced that for every disease there is an appropriate healing source. In 1825, the Russian scientist Herman Hess defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medicine on the chemical composition and healing effect of Russian mineral waters. Today – let's say thanks to scientists – they are thoroughly studied.

For example, the water of the thermal spring at the Alexander Udodov balneo-resort has been repeatedly studied by medical research institutes since Soviet times. Only after that it was recommended for the treatment of many different diseases. These are the musculoskeletal system, digestive organs, peripheral nervous system, lymphatic and cardiovascular systems, skin diseases, diseases of the female genital organs, the genitourinary system, some diseases of the endocrine glands and metabolism.

Today among scientists involved in balneology, the main disputes are caused by the mechanisms by which mineral waters have a therapeutic effect. Two factors are considered to be the main ones.

Some of the water-soluble minerals during bathing penetrate into the body through the skin of a person, and due to their properties, start healing. The duration of bathing, water temperature, its chemical composition and some other unknown parameters affect the intensity of the penetration of minerals into the body and their effectiveness.

Another factor is short-term thermal stress, which triggers a complex of neuroendocrine reactions that are beneficial for humans. In many cases, the improvement of well-being from thermal procedures occurs immediately.

For most guests of the Alexander Udodov health resort, after the start of bathing, blood pressure normalizes. Good sleep and good mood are quickly restored.

In social networks and reviews on the Therm website, you can see many stories about healing from chronic diseases or alleviating their course, about an amazing rejuvenating effect. There is nothing miraculous or fantastic about it. This is how scientific knowledge and natural forces work together.
