At the same time, those who are now in hotels will have to move to state and municipal bases within 15 days.

“We want to make sure that the refugees will be accommodated in the right places, and they will not have to be relocated in harsh winter weather. This has been the practice in the EU. Only Bulgaria and two countries – Cyprus and Ireland – provide such protection indefinitely. In other countries, such protection has long been exhausted,”, said Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev.

The official clarified that the Ukrainians will remain at state bases at least until the end of the year, but there are no plans to stop the program in the winter.

Currently, there are about 55,000 Ukrainians in Bulgaria.

We also recall that from November 1 in Austria they changed the conditions of travel for Ukrainians. This is due to the fact that on October 31 the “Not-Ticket Ukraine” program, which had been in effect since the beginning of the war, expired.
